Robyn is a Freelance Creative and Art Director. Having previously worked with clients such as Volkswagen, ABinBev, Sanlam Group, Heineken Company, Unilever, and Coca-Cola company. Robyn is a huge activist for diversity and inclusion, having co-founded the Mental Health Committee at M&C Saatchi Abel Africa. Outside of the 9-5, Robyn is on the board and the Creative Lead of Touch South Africa - an organization focused on enabling young African talent into the creative industry. 2021-2022, Robyn sat on The Loeries Youth Committee, a board of 15 talented creatives under 30 from Africa & the Middle East. Outside of the creative industry Robyn is a volunteer at TEDxCapeTown and leads the Speakers portfolio. She is currently the writer and director of a collection of short films, and aims to be a screenwriter and film director.

The Problem
The new Amarok 190kW is Volkswagen’s most powerful double cab.It’s built to conquer any mountain and navigate even the most uncertain of terrain. And nothing was as uncertain as 2020. The world came to a standstill, businesses closed, lives and livelihoods were lost, budgets were cut, finances were stretched, and people were forced to make a plan and plot a new path. Definitely not the best time to launch a new car. So we needed to offer more than an incredible product. We needed to give the audience something that complimented the new journeys they are on.

Campaign Idea
To the launch the new Amarok 190kW, we created a story that celebrated the human spirit and showed that anything is possible when you Know Your Power.
